Hello to you all
Here we are in august and it still feels like winter was not that long ago. We had a work party on the 25th of July where the new storage shed got painted (which looks outstanding now), grass got mowed, the tree lines were cut back and overhanging branches cut to allow better clearance for the mowers hat! A brush mower was rented and put to the test on the tree lines and the entryway across from the cattle pasture. Then we really put it through the wringer down on the woodswalk and the 6foot high stinging nettles therein, it ate everything put in front of it with ease but it was decided it would better as a rent as needed piece of equipment.
We would like to get a write of the club done to submit to the NMLRA for their monthly column, so if anyone has any historical club documents or information please let Rich Lambert or Ken Murphy know, thank you
Our august shoot went off without a hitch. The day was mostly overcast but the sun did peek through from time to time, and there was a brief intermission to allow some rain to pass through. All in all a better day of shooting could not be asked for (hey it beats working hands down!)
To all the members wherever you may be, I’d like to say keep your powder dry and shoot center.

Our monthly shoot was held on August 9th. The day started out at a cool 69 degrees and overcast. There was a shower that lasted about an hour and then on and off sprinkles, but nothing major enough to stop the shoot. There were 12 shooters in all and the day ended at a cool 76 degrees and overcast. A big thank you to Ken and Lee Papesh for running the shooter as range officers, and Thanks to Lee also for the great lunch.
