Hello all my muzzleloading friends
The club wishes to take this time to thank Frank Burns for all of the help he gave Tony with getting the big mower up and running. Which included donating an alternator from his own supply, thank you so much Frank.
Tony Borello wants to have a work party in September to cut up the fallen tree in the west fence row and to cut down the dead tree in the north tree line. Stay tuned as the date will be announced.
Paul Alphin and Lee Henning are finding phone numbers of tree trimmers that can give us an estimate for dropping the widowmakers in the rendezvous area. We’d like to see if this can be put into next years budget. If anyone else knows a professional tree trimmer that might be able to help us out please let us know.
A letter of thanks will be typed up and read at the next Troy club meeting so that they know we appreciate the donated railroad ties. Also a letter of appreciation will be typed for Troy’s caretaker Bob Sotz who went above and beyond helping us the day we picked up said railroad ties.
The September meeting will be held on the 5th in honor of the labor day observation. The meeting will be at the troy club traphouse starting at 6:30pm.
The September 10th shoot has one range officer Joel Akers and Curtis Capsel is providing lunch, we need one more range officer though. Please call Ken Papesh(815-485-5245) to volunteer.
The August shoot saw a beautiful day with 17 shooters signed up. You’ll find the results attached below.
As always until our trails cross again keep yer powder dry and shoot sharp’s the word. Whiskey Jim
