Hello to everyone
We’re halfway through February already but that doesn’t mean you should put away the thermal sock’s just yet.
There was a historical trade show at the Kane County Fairgrounds in St Charles January 21st & 22nd that the club had a table set up at. We handed out club brochure’s and explained what Joliet Muzzeloader’s has to offer. Many people we talked to had been to the club function’s in years past and we’re excited to hear we we’re still going strong. It was a very well attended show with over 950 people walking through over the weekend. We welcome any ideas to make next year even better.
It was discussed at the meeting that there are several tree’s around the club grounds that could be trimmed of dead limbs. If anyone someone who would be interested in the job please let us know so we can put it on the agenda for the march meeting. We’re interested in keeping the dead limbs for firewood so we just need a trimmer.
The March meeting will be on the 6th at 6:30pm at the Troy Club traphouse and the shoot will be on the 12th. Range Officer’s will Mike Priesebe and John Sutton, there is no food provider as of yet. Anyone wanting to volunteer please contact Ken Papesh.
The February shoot was a bit chilly and windy but accompanied by some welcome sunshine. With 8 shooter’s in attendance. Thank you to Rich Kettman and Joe Bukovsky for being RO’s and the lunch.
Until we cross paths again keep your powder dry and shoot sharps the word. Whiskey Jim
