Hello to all my friends again
July has started off to be a wonderful month, not too warm days and cool nights. Here’s luck that it keeps up this way.
When using the range on off shoot days please put the target boards away and clean up any other debris. Basically be responsible for yourself, if you use it put it away. Thank you
Bill and Mike Karcz are hosting the 2nd annual novelty shoot in September, there will also be the aggregate buffalo relay so we can all try to keep up with the top shots.
A hearty thank you goes out to Lee henning for getting the club 4 loads of gravel for the road at an excellent price, also to Rob Krueger for coming out with his tractor to spread out the gravel. The road looks great, thank you gentlemen
A board meeting was held to discuss and prioritize what projects can get done this year and what can wait.it was decided to hold a Work Party on July 30th at 9am (weather permitting) on the list of things to do are; staining the outside of the clubhouse, painting the inside walls of the clubhouse, trim back the hedgerows and low hanging tree branches. Also if we could all keep your eyes and ears open for any FREE loads of clay fill to use on the eroding 25 yard backstop and any FREE gently used railroad ties to replace some of the shoot line it would be appreciated. Please call Tony Borello if you have any information.
Until the backstop is repaired please refrain from using the first two target frames on the left of the 25 yard berm unless absolutely necessary. There are no more openings for range officers for the year however September, October and December need food providers. Please call Ken Papesh to volunteer.
The July shoot was a beautifully sunny day with a nice breeze blowing just enough to take the edge off the heat index. There were 11 registered shooters.
Until next time keep yur powder dry and shoot sharp’s the word. Whiskey Jim
