Hello to everyone
It appears like spring is trying very hard to get underway with these teaser days we’ve been seeing. Hopefully we’ll have some nice weather soon.
The March meeting saw 12 members present with some good ideas suggested to be tabled for further discussion.
Mike Karcs has steel plate targets he is going to donate to the club as soon as his generous neighbor welds them up for us. They will be semi moveable so it can be moved from 25 to 50 yards. Thank you Mike and please say thanks to your neighbor from us.
Pat Iffland presented some constitution changes that were read before all those at the meeting, they will have to be re-read at the april meeting and then voted on at the may meeting.
It was also discussed to read through the club by-laws because they are in need of updating.
There is going to be a set of JML range rules posted inside and outside the clubhouse as soon as they are retyped. The same set of rules will be included with new member and renewal forms from now on.
The club is still looking for gently used railroad ties for replacement if the rotting ones in our firing line were also in need of some heavy duty wire rope(probably 50’-100’) to replace the one that currently suspends the 100 yard gong targets. If anyone hears of either please give Tony Borello a call.
All Full members are asked to attend the Troy sportsmans clubs april (April 19th @ 8pm) meeting as they will be voting on a suggested change to JML’s full membership initiation fee. The change will bring the fee down from $300 to a flat $150 to all associate JML members who are interested in becoming full JMLer’s.
The March shoot lucked out on a very nice, sunny day with temperatures near 50. The range officer’s were Mike Priesbe and John Sutton, lunch was provided by Paul Alphin. Paul that soup was absolutely delicious. Thanks to all three of you.
There were 12 registered shooters which was down slightly for being such a nice day.
Don’t forget everyone you are always welcome to the monthly meetings held at Troy’s traphouse at 6:30pm. (April 3rd) The April 9th shoot’s range officers will be Beverly Decman and Pat Iffland with lunch provided by Jim Flannery
As always keep your powder dry and shoot sharp’s the word. Whiskey Jim
