November Turkey shoot 2016

Hello to all you black powder enthusiasts

Can you believe it’s already November, where doe’s the time go?

That being said it’s time to start thinking of yearly dues again. The clubs by-laws require us to maintain a minimum of 20 full memberships which we are short by 8 full members. There are 6 asscociates that have volunteered to upgrade to full membership already, were asking for 2 more members to step up and help fill the levy please. Please contact Rich Lambert or Mike Priesbe for details and to volunteer.

The annual fall rendezvous went off without a hitch and was enjoyed by all in attendance. We did have some rain early Sunday morning but it did very little to dampen the spirits of the camper’s. there were 14 camp’s and 11 shooters that went through the woodswalk. The winners were as follows.

Joe Bukovsky has decide that after 17 years of tireless service he want’s to step down as primitive activities chairman. any member wishing to take up the rein’s feel free to say so, Ken Murphy nominated Pat Iffland during our November meeting which was accepted.

It was discussed and voted to move the aggregate buffalo relay to 100 yards and also make it a cross stick match. There will be a $10 fee to enter the relay for the year.

We also voted to raise the price of monthly shoot targets to $2 a piece for member’s and $3 for non-member’s.

The Troy Sportsmans club is holding the last meeting of 2016 on Wednesday 11-16 at 7:30pm in their clubhouse. For anyone wishing to meet those folk’s from across the river please feel free to attend.

The annual Ned Vargo turkey shoot was held on a beautiful fall morning. Range officers were Lee Papesh and

Curtis Capsel with lunch provided by Jim Flannery. thank you for your service gentlemen. See the attached shoot results.

Our December shoot will be on the 11^th and range officer’s are Lee Henning, Darrin McDonal and John Sutton providing lunch.
