How to join Joliet Muzzleloaders?

Joining JML is a very simple process.

1. Stop by on one of our monthly shoots and introduce your self. Bring your favorite rifle (traditional style, round ball only. No in-lines) and join us. The monthly shoots are open to the public and are held on the 2nd Sunday of every month. (Weather cancellations will be posted on our site.)

2. If you like what you see, you will need to attend at least 3 events. The main goal of this is to ensure you are a safe and courteous shooter. If you still wish to join we will make an application available to you and then our membership committee will process your application. You will need a valid FOID card and State ID. If you are an NRA member or joined the NMLRA we would like to have those ID numbers as well for our records.

Like most clubs we have annual dues and a work party requirement. Those will all be explained during the application process.

We also have 2 primitive rendezvous a year if you wish to camp with us. The rules and registration for that is handled by our primitive events chairman.

You do not need to join our club to participate in our monthly shoots, if you are safe and friendly you are always welcome. Club membership will give you 24/7/365 access to the club grounds using a club supplied key.
